One property, one crew
Your lawn, sprinklers, lights and turf program are one system.
Most East End properties are serviced by three or four unrelated companies, and the seams show. The mower crew nicks a lighting wire. New beds go in and nobody moves the sprinkler heads. Fertilizer goes down the week before the irrigation runtime gets cut back.
When Roque handles all four, the schedule is coordinated by people who have already walked your property — and there is one number to call when something isn’t right.
Watering matched to what’s planted
New beds, sod and replanting get zone and head adjustments in the same visit — not a callback three weeks later when something browns out.
Buried wire and pipe stay buried
The crew edging your beds already knows where the lighting runs and the drip lines sit, because they installed them.
One seasonal calendar
Cleanups, system openings, applications and lighting checks land in the right order, in the right week — see the schedule below.
Eco-friendly by default
Fewer redundant applications, right-sized watering and materials chosen with the East End’s soil, groundwater and shoreline in mind.
One estimate, one invoice, one call
Seasonal residents especially: a single point of contact who can send photos and handle the whole property while you’re off‑island.
Season by season
What a Hamptons property needs, and when.
A rough guide to how the four services fall across the year on the East End. Exact timing shifts with the weather — we schedule off conditions, not the calendar.
| Season | Landscape | Irrigation | Lighting | Pest & turf |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| SpringMar–May | Spring cleanup, bed edging, fresh mulch, first mows, new planting and sod | System opening, zone-by-zone head check, leak and coverage adjustments | Winter damage check, fixtures re-aimed after plant growth | Pre-emergent weed control, first fertilizer, tick program begins |
| SummerJun–Aug | Weekly mowing, pruning, bed upkeep, tree health checks | Runtime tuning for heat, prompt repairs, drip line checks | Timer adjustments as evenings shift, bulb and lens cleaning | Mosquito and tick applications, fungicide for turf and ornamentals |
| FallSep–Nov | Fall cleanup, leaf removal, best window for planting and sod | Winterization and blow-out before the first hard freeze | Re-timing for early sunsets, wiring checks before the holidays | Late-season fertilizer, lime to correct soil pH, broadleaf control |
| WinterDec–Feb | Dormant pruning, storm cleanup, planning next season’s work | System stays winterized; controller off and protected | Fixture cleaning and replacement, snow-aware aiming | Soil testing and program planning for spring |

Not on the list? Call (631) 369-5874 — if we service your road, we’ll say so, and if we don’t, we’ll tell you that too.
Do you charge for an estimate?
No. Estimates are free and carry no obligation. We walk the property, look at what you have and what you want, and send a written quote — whether it’s one service or all four.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Roque Landscaping Corp. is licensed and insured for residential and commercial work in Suffolk County. Pest and turf applications are made with EPA‑registered products, applied according to label directions.
Can I combine services, or do I have to book them separately?
Combine them. Most of our properties use two or more — usually landscape plus irrigation. You get one schedule, one point of contact, and crews who already know where everything is buried.
When should my sprinkler system be opened and closed?
On the East End, most systems open in April once the risk of a hard frost has passed, and are blown out and closed between late October and the end of November. We schedule off the forecast rather than a fixed date, and we’ll reach out before your window.
Do you work with seasonal and second homes?
Yes, and a large share of our work is exactly that. We schedule around arrival and departure dates, get the property ready before you land, and can send photos so you know what’s been done while you’re away.
How soon can someone come out?
It depends on the season — spring openings and fall cleanups are the busiest windows. Urgent problems like a broken main line or a downed limb get prioritized. Call (631) 369-5874 for current availability.
